At 938 metres above sea level, our family home sits in the heart of the Verdon.

Here, the mountains are part of every moment of your stay. From the terraces, swimming pool, restaurant and rooms, nature is always there, just beyond the window.

Just minutes from the Route des Crêtes, you are at the heart of an exceptional region: the Grand Canyon du Verdon, its viewpoints and hiking trails, charming villages and Lake Sainte-Croix.

The hotel is a wonderful base from which to explore the Verdon… but also a place where you can simply slow down and enjoy doing nothing at all.

OUR COMMITMENT TO THE ENVIRONMENT

Taking care of the Verdon, naturally

Because we live here, we feel particularly connected to the preservation of the landscape around us.

Every day, we take concrete steps: sorting and reducing waste, composting in our gardens, limiting single-use products, reducing packaging and favouring local produce and short supply chains in our restaurant.

We also work to reduce our energy impact through our solar panels, LED lighting, heat pumps for the swimming pool and Spa, and electricity from renewable sources.

Our commitment is recognised through several environmental initiatives and labels, including Green Key, the EU Ecolabel, Hôtels au Naturel and Valeurs Parc naturel régional.

Every year, we continue to move forward with the same goal: to evolve our home while taking care of the landscape we are fortunate enough to call home.

Family business

A FAMILY STORY

Three generations, one home

It all began in 1973. Hendrika and Maurice Schaeffer built this house at a time when the Verdon was only just beginning to open up to tourism. Little by little, the hotel welcomed travellers from all over the world in search of nature, wide open spaces and a change of scenery.

In 1986, their daughter Hélène took over the hotel with her future husband, Jean-Michel Bogliorio. Together, they never stopped developing the house. Every winter brought its share of renovations, improvements and new ideas. Over the years, the hotel grew from two to three, and then four stars. The rooms were enlarged, the spaces transformed and a Spa was created. Hélène and Jean-Michel devoted their energy, ideas and savings to the house, with one simple ambition: to create a place that truly reflected who they were.

In 2016, their eldest daughter Soizic joined the family adventure, followed by her brother Thibault in 2017. Both shared the same desire to carry the story forward and continue evolving the house. Since 2018, the family adventure has grown further with the acquisition of Hôtel Le Provence and Restaurant Le Styx, in the heart of La Palud-sur-Verdon. A new house where the third generation can bring its own ideas and aspirations to the story.

Today, three generations have succeeded one another in this house. We grew up here, worked here, dreamed here and built our lives here. And it is with that same desire to share our region and the places we love that we welcome you today.

A family home, yes. But a home that is still evolving.
